Out and About in Philly: Buddakan

We are getting into our last few days until Christmas is finally here! Hope you've all done your shopping, mailed your Christmas cards, wrapped your presents and baked all of those holiday cookies.... and if you have't, uhh well you still have a little time! Me personally, I am done. This year I took the easy way out by doing mail order Christmas gifts to my friends and family like gift baskets from Wine & Country and from Omaha Steaks. With that being done I also took the opportunity to go to our annual holiday lunch with my job to Buddakan on Chestnut Street in Olde City. Buddakan is an asian/fusion dinning. You are greeted by a floor to ceiling waterfall as soon as you enter the restaurant.
The decor and atmosphere is very zen-like with an modern twist. The food is great and the portions are huge, so if you are going with a group of friends,  it would be a perfect opportunity for everyone to sample each others selections. There was a group of eight of us that went and there was plenty food to go around. From the Calamari salad, to the mini sliders to the lobster fried rice, everything was great!

Not to mention the desserts at Buddakan are out of this world. There was cinnamon ice cream, a milk chocolate caramel tart (my personal favorite) and "Dip Sum" Doughnuts just to name a few. If you are looking for a fun, sexy, relaxing dinning experience, Buddakan is the place to be.
